We talk about going to Trader Joe’s every time we are in Cary, but somehow we never make it there! It is just a turn we rarely seem to make. Friday afternoon poor Jonathan was a great sport as he drove me from one end of Wake County to the other searching for new suppliers for the Confection Company. As we all know, with gas prices rising, shipping cost are rising, which is really starting to hurt. I know to some the logic would be…you are going to spend more in gas driving all over looking for local suppliers than you would in shipping costs, but that really isn’t the case for us. We typically make a couple of trips to Cary per month anyway to go to Sam’s, AC Moore, etc. We used to make a couple of trips per month for dinner, but those don’t really happen anymore!
So, Friday we decided to go in search for some new wholesalers/suppliers, do our usual Cary/Raleigh shopping, and go out to dinner. In the process, we made our first trip to Trader Joe’s. Oh.my.gosh!!!! I love it — we both love it! We didn’t buy a ton, because I had just made a grocery trip Friday morning and we had several more stops to make, so we couldn’t buy anything cold/frozen, but we did buy some “junk food!” The “less guilt” chips are to die for! We have had a long obsession with kettle-cooked chips. I could eat them every single day if I didn’t think I would end up as big as one side of the house! These were by far some of the best ever, and SO much cheaper than our “regular” grocery stores. The customer service was great (which was also SO much better than the place I bought groceries that morning and walked out irritated as usual!). I can’t wait to go back soon (with my cooler this time, of course)!!

OK – so now I am TOTALLY confused!!! I don’t know if you read my blog, but I’ve been in a tizzy for a couple of weeks thinking I was missing out on something great that you wrote about but I couldn’t see — my blog roll on Blogger said that you had a new post 2 weeks ago, but all I could see was the one you posted on Aug 27th! Now, today I find you posted this and I was so excited that all was fixed — there it was – a new post from you, but still nothing between this one and the August 27th one!
Was there EVER a post between today’s and the one on August 27th? Did the Blogger blog roll lie to me? I’m so confused…….LOL!
I’m glad it happened (whatever happened), though, because it pushed me to move to WordPress and I LOVE it – much better than Blogger!

Kim — you are so funny!! I’m really glad you have come over to WordPress. Blogger really makes you jump through hoops to leave a comment!!!
Actually, there was nothing between the 27th and now!! I have been a slacker and busy, busy, busy. I have a top secret project I am working on (I’ll tell you about it when I see you, which I’m sure will be soon with the upcoming CIS Gala), and it has been taking up my “spare” time that I would usually use to blog and catch up on everyone’s blogs.
Also, thank you so, so much for telling me about pot roast night!! We were having dinner with my sister’s new in-laws that night and couldn’t go. I was very disappointed!
I am still trying to remember to print off the flyer to put in the window up at the Shops. If you happen to be downtown this week and have one with you, feel free to drop it by and tell whomever is working that I said it was okay to put it in the window! I hope there is a HUGE turnout this year!!

We’re gonna be on Live at 9 on Tuesday night, if you’re looking for something entertaining to watch on TV that night!
I guess the mystery is solved — I’ll venture to guess that the other two were bogus new post notifications, too…..strange!!!!
We need to set up a meeting with the restaurants at the Stewart home pretty soon….so much going on! You have me intrigued with the TSP thing…..!!!!

UGH — we have satellite and can’t get Live at 9! I wish they would post them online after they are on! I always hear good things about the interviews, but never get to actually see them!
Yes, I have been looking forward to the restaurant meeting! I don’t know if it is too late to add a restaurant (or maybe just add it to the maybe next year list), but have you ever asked Aaron Gaines at Fats? He and I do a lot of weddings together and he does a great job. If you have asked him in the past and he said no, I will try to talk him into it for next year!
Yes the TSP — very exciting stuff (no mom, if you are reading this, I am not pregnant
— it is not child-related!) — I actually really want to talk to you about it and get your opinion!!!

aaww – I was wondering if your TSP was the same as Melissa’s TSP – dang!
Call me, if you want – I’m in the book!
